I honestly don't remember where I got that fabric. One of the quilt stores in town I am sure. :) Thanks, he is a lovely fellow!

Ditto what Jane said! There are tons of tatters out there now, both shuttle and needle tatters. It's easiest to learn from someone directly, but these days with YouTube and DVD's with clear videos...it's SO MUCH EASIER than it was in 1997 when I taught myself from a book. Good luck!

I've just had news (and seen first hand) a new DVD which has been produced here in the UK giving excellent instructions on shuttle tatting. It's 'hot off the press' and should be available soon. The group who have produced it will be selling it at little more than cost plus postage and packing. Just thought I'd add a bit more encouragement towards your quest to learn!!

Well done. Now you've mastered the needle you'll find the shuttle relatively easy to use. There's loads of tatters online nowadays so just search for us and you'll get all the help you need. Lots of free patterns and books too.

I just purchased my first wheel from Vicky and Michael. They are professional, knowledgeable, kind, honest...there are not enough words to describe them and their store. The selection of fibers is wonderful and they take the time to teach individuals about the differences. Their daughter works there also and shares her expertise. Overall, purchasing from them is a positive experience and it was worth traveling four and a half hours from another state to do business with them.

Meg,

Your Mom came by the store today and told us about you writing about the store in your blog. She gave us the web address and told us to make sure to check out what you had written. Thank you for the kind words and the added exposure. It is fun to see the photos of the shop on the web too. We hope you will stop in and visit again the next time you are in Tucson.
